A proposal ring that goes from grandmother to granddaughter.
The weather was scorching hot and I was carrying, not just the ring, but a cool-box and all other sorts of beachy things. Despite of its length, we had decided to brave the distance between the local bus stop and Cas Abao beach.
Thankfully, we were hitchhiked by an american couple who were renting an apartment by the beach and literally saved us from melting on the pavement.
On the way back to our apartment, we were also hitchhiked all the way to Willemstad by the haitian gatekeepers.
Unforgettable.
